The Farm & The Family

Chad and Christine run Ripley Cove Farms today, raising their three children on land Chad’s grandparents, Bob and Marilynn Weil, first farmed. Bob was a veterinarian who left his practice to farm full time, and he was using no-till methods and rotational grazing long before either was common. Chad grew up working beside them, and in 2020 he and Christine took over with one goal: carry that vision forward through better soil and better beef. It’s the same conviction that led them to build Proven.

THE PHILOSOPHY BEHIND THE PRACTICE

How They Farm

Ripley Cove Farms is built on the idea that the quality of food is decided long before it reaches the plate. Cattle rotate through diverse pastures of perennials and cover crops, with living roots in the ground year-round. They drink clean, spring-fed water, get a mineral program guided by soil, water, and forage tests, and are handled calmly with low-stress methods. Everything on the farm is measured, from soil to water to the animals themselves.

What They Raise

Beef
Ripley Cove’s grass-fed beef is finished on bio-diverse pastures where all four edible plant groups grow. The cattle are raised without antibiotics or added hormones, then harvested by artisan butchers and custom-cut.

Pork
Ripley Cove raises Large Black hogs, one of the oldest heritage breeds in the world, known for their foraging ability and deeply flavorful meat. The hogs roam the same diverse pastures as the cattle, rooting and grazing freely, and are raised without antibiotics on non-GMO feed.

Why a Proven Partner?

Chad and Christine don’t just believe their beef is nutrient-dense. They have the lab results to prove it. They test soil, water, forage, and animals, and they opened their data to independent research through the Bionutrient Institute and Utah State University’s metabolomics lab. Proven exists because they believe food should be backed by evidence, and they hold their own farm to that standard first.
